· Structure Sentences:

            Ike ga arimasu   =   There is a pond

            Sore wa kasa desu ka?  =  Is that an umbrella?

Hai, kore wa kasa desu  =  Yes, this is an umbrella. 

Kore mo kasa desu ka?   =  Is this an umbrella too? 

Iie, sore wa kasa de wa arimasen  =  No, That is not an umbrella.

Kasa ga arimasu ka?  =  Do you have an umbrella? 

Kagi wa arimasu ka?  =  Do you have a key?

NOTE: Mo=also and arimasu is used to end a sentence about non living things, while imasu is used to end sentences involving living things; both are polight forms.

Ishi=stone いし

Ashi=leg あし

Sushi=sushi (the food) すし

Suki=to like すき

Uso=a lie/not true うそ
